When I heard a foreigner say Ceará
When I heard a foreigner say Ceará
(my native place)
I thought she said "seara"
which means "way" in Portuguese.
But she was right anyway
Ceará is my way, my place,
my raison d etre,
my leit motiv.
Even far away from there,
I still pray for good godfather,
Father Cícero Romão Batista.
