Tradução do meu poema Oh Israel!
Oh Israel! Thou hast slavery endured
Until God bestowed his mercy unto thee!
Why then this slaughtering of thine brother
And to the weeping of the child thou givest no heed?
Oh Israel! Remember all the suffering
The merciless Hun has brought onto thee!
Why then this hurting of a whole nation
And on the mirror thine madness thou canst see?
Crucifying our Savior was not enough
To placate the wrath thou hast burning
And further insane carnage thou still need
Thus all love and hearty feelings denying?
Oh Israel! Thou hast from Abraham inherited
The table that damns murder
Heed your heart a tiny little
And stop killing further!
Oh Israel! Thou hast from Salomon received
The lessons of wisdom by God created
Haven’t thou learnt that thine brother
Was thine Gift that He consecrated?
Oh Israel! The whole world was at your side
In thine fight for the Promised Land
Why don’t you now feel the deep hatred blowing?
And the lessons that it commands?
Oh Israel! In what art thou different,
From the monster that your people has wiped?
When you now hunt down these people
That only their homeland desire?
Humanity witnesses ashamed
Thine slaying frenzy killing and maiming
A whole people that has nowhere to escape
Their rightful dreams denying!
Oh Israel! Why thou hast no respect
For those who have only their bodies and lives
To fight for the home you deny
With bullets flying like beehives?
