The Towers

How many lives were lost in the towers?
Just to show how low can man descend!
While the World cries for the fight among powers
All that man can do about peace is to pretend
While mothers, wives, children and the whole life
Look around for signs of any hope
The animal within us is looking for strife
And kids in the corners escape thru the dope
Nobody sees the big question being asked
Do we deserve the world we were given?
And our true nature is exposed bare-naked
What can we do to our divine soul enliven?
While we still have time to repent
And seek God’s arms to hold us close
Let us forget the fumes of powder and feel the scent
Of the flowers we should be exchanging with love!
